Every moment of connection shared this year – every conversation, every social gathering, every friendship formed – has been made possible thanks to the generosity of fundraisers.

I was very alone with no one I could talk to. We talk together about nothing usually but always end up laughing (a great tonic).

Older person – Call Companion service

Because of your support, older people heard a friendly voice at the end of a phone and joined social get-togethers where they can enjoy the company of others. These moments may seem simple, but they are powerful. They remind us of what it means to feel connected, valued and part of something.

We are incredibly grateful to the trusts, foundations and companies who have supported us this year. While we can't name everyone, every contribution has made a real difference to the lives of older people experiencing loneliness. We simply couldn’t deliver our services for free without you.

A huge thank you to you all, with special thanks to:

  • Postcode Lottery – This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our fabulous partnership. To date, Postcode Lottery players have raised nearly £5m for Re-engage. Their generosity has been phenomenal and has helped make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of isolated older people.
  • The Worwin UK Foundation has generously invested in our activity groups, enabling us to adapt the model and test new approaches. This funding is having a transformational impact on our organisation, enabling us to reach more diverse groups of older people and give brand new ways for older people to find friendship.
  • The Julia Rausing Trust – With their support (and previously The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust), we have developed and scaled Call Companions, delivered Christmas Call Companions and, most recently, grown our activity groups across Liverpool, London, and Manchester. We are incredibly grateful to their commitment to transforming the lives of older people experiencing loneliness.
  • Garfield Weston Foundation – We are proud to be partnering with Garfield Weston Foundation to enable us to deliver our free services across the UK. They have invested in our mission to end social isolation and loneliness in older people, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
  • 3i Group – Generously supporting us since 2017, we are particularly grateful for their matched funding, given to help reach our best Big Give Christmas Challenge result ever! Thank you as well to every colleague who gave their time, including five who abseiled the Cutty Sark.
  • Alfa Holidays – Now in their third year of support with fundraising taking place for Re-engage every single week. Thank you to every hotel team, driver, rambler, and guest who’s taken part.
  • Aptia – Since December 2024, Aptia has generously supported us through corporate giving and employee fundraising. Many colleagues have given time to volunteer and Aptia became the founding partner of Pensions Against Loneliness (PAL), helping mobilise the pensions industry to tackle loneliness.
  • IAG Loyalty – Chosen by staff in January 2026 as their charity partner for the next two years, we’re excited to have welcomed IAG Loyalty and British Airways Holidays as our newest corporate partner and look forward to showing them what their support makes possible.
  • JTI – After 17 years, our partnership with JTI ends in 2026. They’ve supported tea parties throughout and, this year, have supported Call Companions, joined the Cutty Sark abseil, and launched a social group at their Putney offices to match one run by Crewe colleagues for 10 years. Few partnerships last this long – thank you.

We would also like to thank every individual who has given a personal donation or played the Re-engage Lottery. Whether you’ve given £1 or £10,000, your support has helped to bring more connection, companionship, and smiles to the faces of older people this year.

Gifts in Wills hold a very special place in our work. We are deeply grateful to those who have chosen to remember us in this way. Their legacy is one of friendship and it makes a lasting change. To us, they'll always be remembered for bringing joy and friendship into older people’s lives.
