This year we’ve launched a new section on our website dedicated to volunteer reward and recognition
We recognise that volunteers have different motivations for joining Re-engage and not everyone likes to be rewarded and recognised in the same way. Through our reward and recognition programme, we’ll acknowledge the invaluable contributions of volunteers.
Every year, we formally celebrate some of the outstanding contributions made by volunteers, in partnership with Room to Reward and the Marsh Awards. During the first week of June, we celebrate Volunteers' Week when we take the time to recognise the amazing contributions Re-engage volunteers make. In late autumn, we celebrate the outstanding contributions of Re-engage volunteers, with the Marsh Awards. Winners receive a cash prize courtesy of the Marsh Charitable Trust, which was founded to support organisations and people who make a difference through volunteering.
To celebrate Volunteers' Week 2024, we’ve once again teamed up with Room to Reward to say thank you to the ‘hidden heroes’ – inspirational volunteers who give their time to make a difference to people aged 75 and over who are experiencing loneliness or social isolation.
You can make as many nominations as you like – the more the merrier! Just head to our new webpage and share your stories of volunteer greatness. Remember, every volunteer deserves to be celebrated and every nomination counts. The lucky winners will receive a short bed-and-breakfast stay for two people at a choice of more than 500 hotels in locations all over the UK.
Join us this year to recognise outstanding volunteers by making a nomination today, and together, let’s make this Volunteers’ Week one to remember. The closing date for nominations is 17 May 2024 and the winner will be announced in June.
