Have you seen our Christmas film? The star of our film is Jane, who is 87 years old and was born and bred in Newcastle. After a career in teaching, Jane spent the next decade caring for her husband John, who was living with dementia. After John sadly passed away, Jane, like so many others, had to learn to live alone.
Today Jane belongs to her local Re-engage tea party group where she has found companionship and support and we think she’s just fabulous!
This year we are taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. This means that every donation made to Re-engage between midday on 29 November and midday on 6 December could be doubled. Thanks to our long-standing partner 3i and an anonymous donor, we have already raised an incredible £40,000.
By making a small donation to Re-engage, you’ll be helping Jane, and thousands of people like her, find the gift of friendship this Christmas and throughout the year.
Thank you for your support.
