- other personal information requested on our volunteer, guest, and referrer application forms such as:
- age
- date of birth
- sexual orientation
- race
- ethnic origin
- religious or philosophical beliefs
- health data
- your IP address and information regarding what pages are accessed when visiting our website (please see our cookie policy for more information)
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

Your choices
You have a choice about whether you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive marketing communications from us, please contact us.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone, or text message unless you have given your prior consent.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us.
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- if you use our website to contact us through our information submission form
- if you complete a volunteer, guest, or referrer application form
- If you donate to Re-engage
- If you sign up to receive our emails
How your information is used
We may use your information to:
- process a donation that you have made.
- carry out our obligations arising from any contracts between you and us such as applications made:
- to volunteer with Re-engage
- to become a referrer
- to join as a guest
- seek your views or comments on the services we provide
- notify you of changes to our services
- send you communications which you have requested, or which may be of interest to you. These may include information about campaigns, appeals, other fundraising activities, services, and applications for employment
- share with third-party service providers for the purposes of remarketing (retargeting) and building types of audiences
Who has access to your information?
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties for any purpose.
Re-engage works in partnership with third party product providers to allow us to carry out our obligations arising from agreements between you and the charity, such as providing you with our services. Your information is held securely and remains confidential within the third-party provider and in line with Re-engage’s data protection policy.
We may transfer your personal information to a third party if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data to comply with any legal obligation or to enforce or apply our terms of use or to protect the rights, property or safety of our supporters and beneficiaries.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on our systems.
We are legally required to store some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations, such as financial accounting or payroll information.
