A weekly 30 minute phone call can change a life
Julia has been making weekly calls to her call companion Sharon since December. Sharon’s mental and physical wellbeing suffered following a cardiac arrest and speaking to Julia makes her feel good about herself.

Our tea parties are back
The Thurrock Re-engage tea party group 1 got together for their first tea party after eighteen long months apart during the pandemic. There were celebrations all around as the group toasted their sixth anniversary as well as the 99th birthday of one tea party guest.

Our face to face activity groups in Wales
We have launched our free weekly face to face inclusive exercise sessions for those over 75 in Wales. The groups include: dance, chair yoga, tai chi and general activities and take place in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Never stuck for conversation
Gareth was matched with Gordon, who is 77, and has lived a rich and varied life. They soon found that they had many things in common, including a shared love of photography, food and steam trains.

A very happy friendship
Over thirty years ago, as a member of the WI, Bernie and others hosted an annual tea party for Re-engage at her village hall in Essex. When we launched our call companion service during lockdown last year, she got in touch and was matched with call companion Naomi and found a very happy friendship.
